Hey everyone! As it happens, keeping up with this photoblog every weekend is not really working out as much as I wanted it to. I DO shoot every day, giving time to photography is like a perfect start or end to my day. So instead of posting every weekend, I'll put up something here from time to time over a weekend. I've started being more of a regular on Shutterchance, so if you're interested in more of my work, you can keep visiting there. Thanks !

Jardin De Paris
A shot of a French street in Paris. Really!
I was in Paris last week and it was fantabulously awesome ^.^
... or maybe not. This shot's from a replica of a french street in Universal Studios in California. I took it on my trip to Cali last summer & touched it up.
Exams and summer classes have still taken over my life and I can't wait to try out all the things I've learnt from Shutterchance.com in real life! After this weekend, things might lighten up a bit so next weekend I'll have something new & fresh to put up here :-)

Duck X-ing

These ducks are sooo cute! I spent 20 minutes with them this Friday, clicking pictures, trying to get friendly with them and FINALLY getting them to trust me to come within a feet from me. Here's a picture of them crossing the road to probably go spend the evening in the lake in front of our house. It isn't too clear, but I had really low exposure, BW turned on and was too lazy to edit the pictures.

R h y t h m

For this shot, I just had to find a bunch of lights and click. Really. Even with no touch-ups to it, I find the light effect rhythmic (and maybe a little clearing of the background is needed... but alas, I lack the photoshop software *sigh*). Something that puts a mind at ease... I guess I've hit a wall regarding my shots... as if I can't make up my mind on what to shoot, how to shoot, what would look best, would it be considered as too conventional or "way out". Too many questions. Too many complexes. The feeling's slightly frustrating, but I can't wait to step out soon with my camera and just click like before... random and free.

Touché !
It's like an addiction, but I end up signing up for all the websites that offer free photoblog hosting and are appealing to me and my needs as a (badass) amateur photographer (just the way I change my template every other month...). Can I even call myself an amateur photographer? Maybe. Maybe not. Maybe bacause I DO have my own photoblog and most of the pictures I click are of anything but friends, family or people I interact with on a regular basis. Maybe not because I don't keep photography techniques in mind while clicking. It's mostly personal lurve I guess.
So I opened an account a while back on Shuttercase.com -- Touché, which features the pictures I think are the best of the lot. If you don't have the patience to scroll down through alllll of them pictures, maybe this should be a good place to go.
Thanks for visiting!

B e a u t i f u l I n d i a n a p o l i s

Our first stop on our 4-day weekend was in Indianapolis (IN) and the sights there were soooo refreshing compared to our downtown and city. We tried to go and watch the Grand Prix but the traffic was discouraging and the comment "you just watch a bunch of cars take left turns for 4 hours" from one of us after a while seemed to give us a reason to head towards the camping grounds and chill for the rest of the evening.

On starting a photoblog
Yes, there is such a thing as FREE hosting for your photos. Exclusive photoblog stuff. Being in the computer engineering field and loving photography and not being able to develop web-designs that show one photo at a time, very professionally and conviniently, is frustrating. Unfortunately, its not just me. So here's a list of the best hosting sites for all you amateur photographers, who are dying for some recognition in the blogosphere. Most of the websites are in the beta testing modes, but that shouldn't stop you from trying them out. It only means that new and better features will be added as time goes by.
- Blogger : Yes, our very own blogger can host images, though its not build for photoblogging. You can simply hit Upload Images when posting, or use free, downloadable software like Hello. You can tweak with the template, like I have and come up with something similar.
- DeviantArt : This site's for all types of art lovers. Artisan arts, digital art, traditional art, photography, poetry, prose, flash and many more. Definitely worth a look if you're looking for feedback on your work (and not everyone's a professional on here).
- Flickr : Creates slideshows, albums for your pictures. It keeps stuff organized for one.
- Fotopages : It's free, is all I can say.
- Fotothing : Slideshow features are great.
- Shuttercase : I personally looove this hosting service and might open an account on there soon. It looks professional and has splendid features.
So there ya go. These places will give you a head-start on creating your own photoblog in a few minutes. Click away!
